Police FC extended their road to resurrection with a 1-0 away win against embattled Bright Stars FC in UPL on Wednesday at Bombo Barracks ground.

Ben Ocen converted from the spot in the 23rd minute after Andrew Kaggwa had handled the ball from the spot.

Ocen has now scored eight goals, joint highest with Vipers’ forward Fahad Bayo.

“We have managed to get the result we wanted today so we will try to rectify on other things that have not gone right so far. We are concentrating more on achieving three points,” said Police coach Abdallah Mubiru.

“We were very unfortunate not to have enough rest after playing Tooro United, we had only one day to rest and this game was an early kickoff.

“We didn’t have enough time for recovery and that is why we were slow. We are waiting for our final game and we hope to do better against Proline.”

The result sends Police to 14th with 11 points after 14 games as Bright Stars drob to 15th with eight points after 15 games.
