CECAFA Women Championship: Uganda Eye Semis

Uganda Crested Cranes take on Ethiopia on Tuesday at Chamazi Stadium with a win sending the Farida Bulega’s side into the semi final of the 2019 Cecafa women Championship.

Having comfortably beat Djibouti 13-0 in the first game of the tournament, the Cranes look outright favourites to overcome a tricky Ethiopia team which lost 2-0 to Kenya.

Known for playing attacking football, a win for the Lucy and Dinknesh will brighten chances of group qualification for Ethiopia.

Uganda Coach Bulega who refused to comment on the game, hopes to bank on her forwards Hasifah Nassuna and Juliet Nalukenge all who scored hat-tricks in the first game.

Elsewhere in the cecafa women Championship:

After a 9-0 humilaition in hands of hosts Tanzania, South Sudan managed to take their revenge with a 5-0 win against Zanzibar.

The Bright Starlets,boasting with a couple of players with Ugandan decency, had Amy Lasu Lauya, Aluel Garang, Thomas Chieng among the players on target.

Tanzania cruised to the semis with a 4-0 win against Burundi
