KCCA Vs URA: Hosts Seek To Close Gap

Wednesday, November 20
*KCCA FC Vs URA FC – 4PM

KCCA play host to visiting URA in the rescheduled Uganda Premiere League fixture at Lugogo in a TV game.

The fixture was supposed to be played two months back but rescheduled due to KCCCA’s engagement on the continent: The Kasasiro boys were in preparation to face Atletico Petro De Luanda of Angola.

KCCA coms into Tuesday’s game on the back of three consecutive league wins including a 1-0 vital win against rivals Vipers last Saturday.

The side, 11 points behind Vipers, are 5th on the log with 22 points from 10 games with four games in hand.

“We have a responsibility to see that the we catch up with those who are above us and we have to win all games,” said Mike Mutebi during a pre-match conference at Lugogo.

“After picking three points against our direct rivals Vipers SC, it is easy for us to close the gap by trying to win all our rescheduled matches, so we are well prepared and the lads are ready to do all what it takes so that we catch up.”

Its should be remembered that URA was the only team who beat KCCA at Lugogo last season, but Mutebi believes that this time round its going to be different.

“They have the capacity, good players who can do it, they have a coach who believes and he knows KCCA but we are going to treat each game as a final with no pressure and we will negotiate past them,” added Mutebi.

KCCA will welcome back first choice goalkeeper Charles Lukwago, Nicholas Kasozi and young star Allan Okello who missed recent games due to national team engagements.

However, the side will miss Sadat Anuku,Julius Poloto and Sadam Juma who are still recovering from Injuries.

URA on the hand, are 12th on the log with 15 points and have been an inconsistence side so far compared to last season despite making many signings.

They have only managed to win one game out the four games they have played this month – beating Police FC, lost to Vipers and drew twice against Villa and Busoga United.

They seat 12th on the log with 15 points from 12 games and they need a better performance they have never had this season if they are to register their fourth win of the season.
