UPL: Express, URA Share Spoils

Express and hosts URA FC played to a goalless draw in a league game played at Bombo – neutral ground.

The hosts finished the game with 10 men after substitute Ntege Anwar was sent off. The striker had replaced Daniel Isiagi at restart.

Express finish the first round with 18 points in ninth after 15 games while URA sit 10th with 17 points from 14 games.

Express were dominant in the first stages but Disan Galiwango couldn’t find a goal past goalkeeper Alitho James.

Midfielder Dan Sserukwaya also directed his volley over the crossbar while the club’s best chance in the second half saw Frank Kalanda’s shot kept by Alitho.

URA who lost Julius Mutyaba to injury in the first half, had Isiagi’s goal ruled out for offside.

Captain Shafic Kagimu fire wide in the seventh minute while Joachim Ojera could have done better with his header in the 55th minute. Mikidad Ssenyonga and Ashraf Mandela had long range attempts off the target.
