Wedding: URA Captain Shafic Kagimu Marries Chuni’s Daughter

URA FC captain Shafic Kagimu officially legalised his marriage on Sunday in a glamorous Nikah event held at Bunamwaya.

Kagimu, known by many as Kuchi in the football circles, wedded his long term lover Sumaiyah Chuni Nakyeyune

The couple, christened as “Kuchi wa Chuni” or vice verse, has been together for the past years before agreeing to exchange marriage vows.

The event was well attended, with Kagimu greatly escorted by fellow footballers including his coach at URA FC Sam Ssimbwa.

Kagimu, born by the late Aisha Nanyonjo and Henry Jingo is a Kampala University graduate who holds a degree in Procurement and Logistics.

Nakyeyune on the other hand, who is a MUBs graduate, is a daughter to Uganda football cowboy Yusuf ‘Chuni’ Kyeyune.

The Dad (Chuni) is a former SC Villa technical manager and also held similar positions at State House FC and Kampala United FC among others.

Kuchi who is among the five players nominated for the coming FUFA awards footballer of the year, joined URA FC in 2015 from Big league side Water FC. He also played for Kampala Junior team and Zebra FC.

He has been an architectural figure at URA FC, bossing the midfield with intelligent teammate Said Kyeyune.

It remains to be known whether Kagimu will feature for URA on Tuesday when his side face Proline FC in Bombo.

The tax collectors are 10th on the StarTimes UPL log with 17 points after 14 league games.
