Uganda’s Shafic Kiwanuka will take a shot at the vacant All Africa heavy weight crown when he faces Zimbabwe’s Thamsang Dube.
All roads will lead to IUEA University in Kansanga, the former Didi’s World, where the much anticipated ‘Clash for Africa’ will be held on Friday.
This will be the third fight in the paid ranks for the Killing Machine as Kiwanuka prefers to be called.
The Great Strikers fighter downed David Kamara (Kenya) and Tyson Mbikayi (Congo).
“I have done enough preparations and I feel ready to rumble. My swords are always sharp, ready to cut,” Kiwanuka briefly said in a briefing on Wednesday.
Dube will be making his return to the ring after his last fight eight years ago but the Zimbabwean believes that rustiness will not make a toll on him.
He comes with vastly experience having won 12 fights including seven knockouts from 15 attempts. He has lost just on three occasions and told the press that he is in Kampala to mean business before calling on everyone to come and watch the fight.
The event will be attended by World Boxing Federation (WBF) president Howard Goldberg while Ragga Dee and B2C headline the entertainment act.
The clash will be telecast live on Urban TV.
