Express FC Fined For Misconduct Against KCCA

StarTimes UPL side Express FC have been fined Sh1.5M and warned strongly over their fans’ behaviour in a game against rivals KCCA FC.

FUFA Disciplinary panel has found the club fans guilty of attacking KCCA player John Revita, match officials and KCCA fans.

The incidents, the panel says, that happened on November 13 in a league game at Wakissha Resource centre.

Express FC fans have been at the wrong end of criticism for misbehavior after recent acts of hooliganism especially against rival clubs.

KCCA beat hosts Express FC 3-1 on a Wednesday with Sadat Anaku, Mike Mutyaba and Mohammed Yiga (OG) on target for the defending Champions.

Frank Kalanda’s goal in the 75th minute proved to be a mere consolation for the Red Eagles.

Express fans showed their discontent at the match officials by throwing bottles and directed further attacks to former player and Captain Revita who joined KCCA at the start of the season.

This is the second time Express has been fined this season – The Club’s coach George Ssimwogerere was told to pay Sh500,000 for ordering ball boys yo hide balls during a league game against Police FC on October 4th.
