UPL: KCCA Put Four Past Ailing Proline

Visitors KCCA FC eased past Proline FC to win 4-0 in a league game played at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.

Sam ssenyonjo, Nicholas Kasozi and a brace from Allan Okello ensured that th defending champions end the first round on a positive note.

The victory leaves KCCA, who welcomed back Julius Poloto from a long lay off, in second place with 32 points and are four points below leaders Vipers.

The loss leaves Proline at the rock bottom with none points after 15 games.

Proline had club chairman Mujib Kasule on touchline as Coach after Baker Mbowa, who is standing in for Matia Lule, got admitted in hospital recently.

Youngster Sam Ssenyonjo opened the scoring chats at stroke of halftime with a tap in after Musa Ramathan’s shot had hit the crossbar.

Kasozi bundled in from a Mustafa Kizza corner to double the advantage.

Okello found the back of the net after he was set up by Sam Ssenyonjo to shot at the bottom corner in the 78th minute and later put the icing on the cake with to goal after a good assist from Poloto.

Defender Samuel Kato had his header collected right by Bashir Ssekagya, Ssenyonjo volleyed wide while Musa Ramathan tapped over the bar for Mike Mutebi’s charges.

Rodgers Mato came close to scoring for Proline but his header was denied by Charles Lukwago.

Edrisa Lubega had a powerful shot blocked away by man of the match John Revita.
