Uganda Cranes: Four Players Dropped As CECAFA Preps Intensify

Four players have been dropped from the Uganda Cranes squad that is preparing for the forthcoming 2019 CECAFA Senior Challenge cup.

Striker Steven Mukwala headlines the dropped players. The Maroons forward is the leading goalscorer after the first round of the StarTimes UPL with 10 goals.

Young goalkeeper Jack Komakech (Football For Good), Wakiso Giants’ Hassan Ssenyonjo and URA FC’s Ivan Sserubiri are the other players dropped.

Sserubiri was recently added to the squad to replace the injured Kirizestom Ntambi (Wakiso Giants).

Mckinstry Impressed After CECAFA day two preps

In similar developments, 26 players trained on Wednesday morning at Lugogo including seven and three players from KCCA and Proline FC respectively.

The team is recently entered residential camp at Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisaasi, Ntinda.

The CECAFA tourney kicks off in Kampala on December 7 to 19.
