CECAFA: Free Entrance For Uganda Cranes V Burundi Opener At Namboole

The CECAFA senior challenge cup local organising committee has waved off entry fee for Uganda Cranes opening match against Burundi, it has been confirmed.

This, according to FUFA’s Media Officer Ahmed Hussein, has been reached to boost the number of spectators.

“We won the trophy seven years back when the tournament was last held in Uganda and we hope for the best again this time,” said Hussein while appearing on NTV’s Omumuli Gwe Mizannyo.

“It has been decided that the our game against Burundi will be charged free of charge at Namboole. Then the rest of our subsequent games will be charged Sh5000 and 30,000.”

The opener between Djibouti and Somalia earlier on Saturday will be played at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Wakissha.

The rest of the group stage games will be played at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo.

Visitors DR Congo, South Sudan, Eritrea and Rwanda will not be taking part.
