*Sudan 1-2 Kenya
*Tanzania Vs Zanzibar – 4PM
Kenya needed to come from a goal down to overcome Sudan 1-2 and consolidate their place at the top of group of B to reach the semis of the ongoing 2019 CECAFA Senior Challenge cup at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.
Muhammed Namir’s goal at the half-hour gave Sudan an halftime lead but the effort proved to be a consolation against Kenya who missed banned coach Francis Kimanzi.

Towering striker Oscar Wamalwa gave the defending Champions all the maximum points when he connected home Timothy Otieno’s low cross in the 76th minute.
Sudan contested what proved to be Kenya’s winner, claiming that their custodian Mohammed Abdallah was fouled in the process but the referee stuck to his original decision much to the delight of Kenya.
Kenya, under assistant coach Zedekiah ‘Zeco’ Otieno, had two goals correctly ruled out for offside including a beauty from Lawrence Juma’s tap-in from David Owino’s cross as Kenya walked the ball in the net.
Sudan had a late chance to level matters but goalkeeper Samuel Odhiambo kept out Younis Mounir’s weak chip.
