KCCA Planning For Life Without Okello, Mustafa

KCCA FC is reportedly planning for life without their young duo of attacking midfielder Allan Okello and left back Mustafa Kizza.

The development comes in the wake of the duo’s refusal to renew their respective contracts.

Sources close to the players have suggested that the two have reluctantly refused to renew their contracts citing under payment and scarce incentives at the club.

The club is looking for alternatives as well.

“We offered them new deals better than the current ones but have been reluctant at renewing,” a high placed source at the club told the-SportsNation.com.

“The two are given a one week ultimatum and in case it’s not as fruitful as we expect, we shall resort to using the young enterprising talent available.”

Okello who is the 2019 reigning Airtel FUFA player of the year, recently had trials with FC Zurich in Switzerland while Mustafa was on the verge of joining Spain’s Real Valladolid before both deals fell through.

Mustafa was also linked to join Czech Republic’s lower tier club MFV Vyskoz, various sources claimed.

Okello and Mustafa are products of KCCA, having developed through the club ranks and have been pivotal in the club’s recent success including helping the club to win the 2019 CECAFA Kagame cup in Kigali, Rwanda.
