Uganda Women U17 head coach Ayub Khalifa has named a 30-man squad for the forthcoming qualifiers for the 2020 FIFA U17 World Cup.
Uganda’s U17 team that was formed last year (2019) received instant success, winning COSAFA and CECAFA championships.
Two new faces, St Noah’s Allen Nasaazi and teammate Angela Auchi Kigongo have been added to the squad.
The players will officially begin residential training on Friday 3rd January at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru, according to FUFA website.
Uganda will face Ethiopia in the first round – The preliminary ties are scheduled to take place in January 2020, with the first and second leg ties coming between January 10 and 26.
If the team, with stars like Juliet Nalukenge and Fauziah Najjemba skips Ethiopia hurdle, will face winner between Tanzania or Burundi.
Africa will be represented by only three teams at the tourney that will be staged in India later this year in September (2-20).
