Uganda Assistant Referee Dick Okello has been preliminarily shortlisted by Confederation of African Football (CAF) to prepare for the fourth coming 2020 CHAN tournament in Cameroon which kick start in April
Dick is the only Ugandan who has appeared on the full list of 46 officials which carries 20 Referees, 19 Assistant Referees, 2 Physical instructors and 5 Technical Instructors .
However still, This is not the final list as it will be trimmed down after the physical fitness and training camps, meaning there are also possibilities of Ugandan not represented in that field.
Dick Okello took part in U-23 Afcon 2019 tournament in November,and was selected as the first assistant referee for the finals between Egypt and Ivory Coast. He was also one of the 12 assistant referees at the Total U20 Africa Nations Cup in Guinea.
In last Edition, no Ugandan official was used as Brian Miiro Nsubuga who was shortlisted was later dropped.
