Vipers Vs Kyetume: Venoms Seek To Regain Four-Point Advantage

Vipers will be targeting to regain their four-point advantage atop the log when they play host to Kyetume FC at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

The Venoms ended the first round on top with 36 points but the team saw their lead cut to just one point after KCCA FC laboured to a 1-0 win against Mbarara City.

Coached by Edward Golola, Vipers have made their intentions of winning the league by adding Paul Mucureezi as a free agent to boost their attacking prowess.

The former Mbarara City FC ace, is expected to play a role against the Slaughters.

Midfielder Bobos Byaruhanga will need a late fitness test while Bashir Asiku, Abraham Ndugwa, Shaban Mohammed and Livingston Mulondo have been ruled out.

Kyetume FC, lost their last four games to end the first round 12th on the log with 16 points.

With coach Jackson Mayanja at the helm, the club will be confident of securing a spot in next year’s season.

Striker Robert Ssentongo will be the centre of attraction for the Slaughters. The Veteran forward scored from the spot in a 2-1 loss at Namboole in the reverse fixture with Dan Sserunkuma and Fahad Bayo on target to rescue maximum points for the Venoms.
