UPL: Bright Stars Edge BUL At Kavumba

Bright Stars started the second round on a strong note after beating BUL FC 1-0 in a game played at Kavumba Recreation center.

Alfred Onek scored the all important goal off James Angu’s assist in the 74th minute to give Paul Kiwanuka’s side maximum points.

BUL FC had Charles Sempa’s effort go an inch wide while goalkeeper Godwin Buule denied Simon Peter Oketch’s header.

This is the second win for Bright Stars who are now 14th with 13 points, just a point adrift of safety.

The loss is the third for Peter Onen’s side who remain third with 29 points from 16 games.

The first round encounter at Njeru finished 1-1.

Next for Bright Stars is another home game against KCCA FC on Tuesday while BUL host URA.
