*Bright Stars 1-0 BUL
*Maroons 1-2 Proline
*Vipers 1-0 Kyetume
Busoga United beat Express FC 2-0 in their opening second round fixture at the Mighty Arena in Jinja.
After a less eventful first half, goals from Ivan Wani and Boban Zirintusa handed Busoga United a deserved 2-0 win in a game that was played under a downpour.
Express were the second best on the day with their best chances falling to Captain Disan Galiwango including his effort that was denied by the lower post inside the opening five minutes.
Club leading goalscorer with seven goals Frank Kalanda machete also directed his free-kick from a good area far and wide.
The victory, means that Express has lost to Busoga United twice this season after a 2-1 loss in Wankulukuku in the first round.
The loss compounds the club’s misery away to Jinja teams with their last victory coming against Sadolin Paints in 2017.
The Red Eagles who lost their eighth game of the season from 16 games have collected just 18 points while Busoga who played without Joel Madondo (joined Wydad Casablanca) are now on 21 points.
Express visit Police FC before a home game against Proline while Busoga United face SC Villa at Namboole.
