Onduparaka Vs Maroons: Carterpillars Target Double

Onduparaka will be looking for a double against Maroons FC on Tuesday in their first home league game in the new decade at Green light Stadium, Arua.

Gadafi Wahab scored the lone goal as Onduparaka beat Maroons in October last year during the reverse fixture.

The club that lost coach Livingston Mbabazi to Wakiso Giants, will be targeting a double against Douglas Bamweyana’s troops.

Onduparaka will take an advantage of having fresh legs after a walk over win in their second round opening fixture against Tooro United last Tuesday in Fort Portal.

On Friday, the competition committee took a decision and awarded 3 points to Onduparaka after Tooro’s failure to assemble at least seven players.

However, it remains to be known whether Onduparaka’s full starting IX will be also be readily available due to licensing issues.

The Caterpillars are 5th on the log with 26 points from 16 games.

Maroons on the other hand, will be looking forward to bounce back to winning ways after a false start in their second round opener when they lost 2-1 against Proline FC at their home in Luzira last Wednesday.

On a good note, their first choice goal keeper Hanningston Ssebwalunnyo who missed their last game over license issue is included in the Squad that traveled to Arua. This may be a perfect solution to blunders done by Emmanuel Akol in the goal last Wednesday.

Amanya Junior and Bwogi Edgar who also missed the last encounter against Proline, have been also included in the traveling squad to Arua.

Maroons are 10th on the log with 19 points from 16 games.
