Angry Fans Confront Mike Mutebi After Loss To Bright Stars

A section of frustrated KCCA FC fans attacked manager Mike Mutebi after the side lost 2-1 away to Bright Stars in Kavumba.

It necessitated Police to partly intervene and save the situation from going worse.

KCCA FC were utterly poor against a resurgent Bright Stars team as the side slipped back to trail leaders Vipers by seven points.

The club suffered their fourth loss of the season, which understandably didn’t sit well with the travelling fans who verbally abused coach Mutebi.

Immediately the referee blew the final whistle, the angry fans made their way to the pitch where a disappointed Mutebi mutely sat.

The fans immediately started fuming all sizes of abusive words as they showed their discontent in the way the coach has handled the game and players.

“We invest a lot, you don’t invest, we pay you to disappoint us? repeatedly shouted the fans.

They abused Mutebi, and constantly asked why Nicholas Kasozi was not given a chance to play.

“It’s just that you want to go away to Vipers! We will beat you just like we did against Soana. ***”

All this proceeded as club officials like the chairman, his assistant and the CEO were watching in disbelief.

To the fans, they thought this game was totally a must win considering the goal scoring updates from Lugogo where fellow title contenders Vipers SC beat Proline 4-2.

In their complaints in form of heart piercing abuses, the fans also asked why ”the weak, young and slow Opio Sande” who could hardly win an aerial ball had to come on for an energetic John Odumegwu.

An elderly fan in his sixties was quick to relate how they chased Arsene Wenger from “their” Arsenal is how they will take a highly complacent coach Mutebi who he thinks priotises promoting his boys against results.
