Chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka has said that Express FC leadership is concerned about the current situation at the club.
Express suffered their heaviest loss, falling 6-1 to Police FC at Lugogo on Match-day 17 of the StarTimes UPL.

Sections of fans used various fans to show their discontent about the appalling display with some taking to social medial and called on Kiwanuka to sack coach George Ssimwogerere.
In response, the Chairman tweeted and requested the fans remain calm:
“As the leadership, we are also concerned about the current situation at the club. We have listened to your views and we thank you.
“Now you can sit back and let us take it from here. We shall do what we believe is in the best interests of the club.”
A decision about Ssimwogerere’s future is said to have been taken on Wednesday night.

Since his first game against BUL FC on Sunday, February 10, 2019; Ssimwogerere has taken Express through 30 league games.
He has winning percentage of 33% – won 10, lost 13 and picked seven draws. The club has scored 34 goals and conceded 42 in the period.
Next for Express FC is a home game against Proline FC at Kavumba Recreation centre on Match-day 18 before facing St Mary’s in Uganda Cup.
