Peter Lwasa: Striker Gets New Club

Ugandan Striker Peter Lwasa has joined Kenya Premier League outfits Kariobangi Sharks, the club has confirmed.

Lwasa, a former URA FC forward, was recently released by KPL side Sofapaka FC just after four months in service.

He joins Kariobangi on a two-year contract, it’s official.

“I am delighted to join Kariobangi Sharks,” Lwasa told the club website.

“The welcome has been warm and the team is just like a family unit, I am looking forward to being a key element of the team and help in the upward trajectory.”

He finds the Sharks in 12th place with 13 points from 17 games and will be hoping to help the club move some places above the log.

Lwasa has three goals and two assists in the 2019/20 season which he collected while at Sofapaka.

The Sharks will return to league action on Saturday, January 25 against Kakamega Homeboys at the Moi International Stadium.
