KIU Titans have released star players Sudi Ulanga (Tanzania), Denis Balungu (DRC) and Ettiene Kazungu (DRC) its official.

The pride of kansaga, as they prefer to be called, are targeting a rebuilding phase and club President Nasser Sserunjogi believes that his side will be able to fire on all cylinders in about two years time.
“It’s very true that we have released those players,” started Sserunjogi. “Its definitely a tough decision but when you want to build again you have to make sacrifices. 2020 will be a tough season for us but in the long term we shall be a better team I can promise.”
KIU Titans whose only achievement was a playing a league final in 2017, have signed new youngsters to prepare for the future.
The side had a 13-9 record in the regular season to finish sixth before falling 2-1 to Warriors in the quarters.
Sserunjogi, who also doubles as a FUBA head, added:
“We want to rebuild again. We have signed young players. We want to have proper structures and a team philosophy, the way we want to play. This has called for signing young players who are very committed and are still willing to learn.
“It is a process and in 2/3 years we hope to achieve what we want.”
Michael Bwanga, Collins Kasujja, Oscar Muge are some of the senior players that are expected to remain behind to provide some structure and stability for Brian Wathum side.
