SC Villa beat Super Eagles FC at round of 64 in Uganda cup.

SC Villa eased past regional league side Super Eagles FC to win 4-1 at the round of 64 of Uganda Cup in a game played at Pece Stadium in Gulu.

David Owori, Bashir Mutanda, Ronald Magwali and Salim Abdallah were on target for the Jogoos to storm round of 32 in style.

Villa has won the Uganda Cup nine times and will be targeting to equal joint record winners KCCA and Express who have 10 titles each, this year.

Villa last won the Uganda Cup in the 2014/15 season. They beat KCCA 3-0 in a rescheduled final at Namboole after the initial game in Ntugamo was aborted because of violence.

James Angu’s goal was all Bright Stars needed to overcome Koboko Rising Stars.

Maroons, Kitara and Kiboga Young picked road wins via shootouts and will be in the round of 32 as well.

Proline FC, Bugamba, Busia Young FC and Kajjansi United had reached the round of 32 earlier.
