Vipers Sack Golola, Entire Technical Team

Vipers SC have sacked head coach Edward Golola and his entire technical committee, the club has confirmed.

This comes a day after the club were shockingly knocked out of the Uganda Cup by neighbours and regional league club Kajjansi United.

“Vipers sports club announces that head coach Edward gGolola and his entire technical team have been relieved of their duties with immediate effect,” reads a statement from the club.

“The club would like to thank Golola and his team for their work during their time at Vipers SC and to wish them success in the future.”

The loss against Kajjansi that saw Vipers bundle out of Uganda Cup at the round of 64, came days after a league loss to bitter rivals Villa in the league at Kitende.

The Venoms, however, are still top of the league with 42 points, four above second placed KCCA after 18 games.

The club will face Mbarara City FC Mbarara City FC on January 28 in Bombo before hosting Onduparaka FC on February 2.

The club has added that caretaker technical team will be appointed until the end of the current season.
