Women U17 World Cup: Nalukenge Score Brace As Uganda Advance

Uganda U17 Women team advanced to the second preliminary round of U17 women world cup qualifiers after a 3-1 convincing win against Ethiopia in the return leg played at Bahir Dar National Stadium in Addis Ababa.

Team captain Juliet Nalukenge scored a brace to add on Margret Kunihira’s opener.

Coached by Ayub Khalifa, Uganda advance to the next stage with a 5-1 aggregate win after recording a 2-0 win in the first leg in Kampala.

The girls, who won the CECAFA and Cosafa U17 championships last year, will face Tanzania in the second round.

Tanzania eliminated Burundi on 6-1 aggregate.

Uganda and Tanzania first leg will happen on February 29th and second leg on 14th March.
