Onduparaka FC duo Gaddafi Wahab and Faizul Anini are set to complete deals with Wakiso Giants, The-SportsNation sources have learnt.
The duo were seen training on Sunday with the Purple Sharks at IUIU Kabojja and are expected to be unveiled this week.
Gaddafi Wahab, who is the club captain, has scored three goals for Onduparaka FC this season. Jamil Maliyamungu has scored more with six while Jamal Malish has notched three.
If this comes to pass, they will reunite with former coach Livingston Mbabazi and player Geriga Atendele who joined Wakiso from Onduparaka in the second round.
Viane Ssekajugo and Karim Ndugwa are the other players to have played for both sides.
Onduparaka earlier lost Dudu Ramathan and Vitalis Tabu to BUL FC in the second round as stories about financial constraints continue to resurface at the club.
The Caterpillars who lost 1-0 to Wakiso Giants, are sixth on the log with 27 points. The latter occupy eighth position with 23 points.
Onduparaka have been in the news of recent when the club issued out a long statement claiming that they were approached by ‘persons whose sole agenda is to manipulate league games with promises of huge sums of money.’
