Onduparaka will be seeking to bounce back when they play host to Busoga United as the Premier League returns this Tuesday.

The Carterpillars’ poor run of form was recently cemented by a Uganda Cup defeat against Western regional side Bugamba FC.

In the league, the club has only won once in their last five games – That was a 3-0 walkover after Tooro United failed to assemble at least seven licensed players on January 7.

Onduparaka occupy sixth place with 27 points and can go as high as third place if other results go their way.

Visitors Busoga sit a place below Onduparaka in seventh place with 27 points as well. Just like Onduparaka, they also received marching orders from Uganda Cup after losing to Busia Young FC.

Onduparaka are set to be without captain Gaddafi Wahab and Faizul Anini who are set to join their former coach Livingston Mbabazi and former teammate Geriga Atendele at Wakiso Giants.

Consequently, the side has to bank on their leading goalscorer Julius Malingumu who has scored six goals, Ezra Bida, Joel Jangeyambe and Rajab Kakooza among others to get the goals.

The visitors who lost 1-0 in the reverse fixture, have lost two key players Joel Madondo and Boban Zirintusa who have left the club for greener pastures abroad but the club won their three opening league games in the second round.

Lawrence Tezikya, Ivan Wani among others, will be the team’s pillars going forward.
