 Elite Schools Championship: Dynamic Holds Kawempe in Girls Football

Kawempe Muslim is a giant when it comes to women football but on Monday things never went as expected following a goalless draw against Dynamic SS.

The game played at Old Kampala may force Kawempe to recall first team to service.

Kawempe is among the six teams which turned up for the first time for a Girls Football tourney the at Elite Senior Secondary School Championship since the game was introduced last year with only male football.

Girls Football together with Netball and Basketball are the other new sports discipline to join Boys Football at the Elite Senior Secondary Schools Championship activities.

Netball attracted three schools as Basketball managed to attract four Boy teams and one girls team.

The other games played in girls football saw St Noa Zana getting held by Rines in a one all draw with Mandera Nancy scoring for Zana based School and Kayesu Joan finding the net for Rines.

Gaddafi Integrated was defeated by Uganda Marty’s with Sumaya Nalumu putting her name on the score sheet.

In Basketball, Bethel beat Old Kampala 64-45 and Old Kampala faced another defeat of the day against St Cyprian Kyabakadde by 37-51.

In Girls basketball, one game was played between two teams from St Noa Zana as St Noa A beat their B side bg 54-13.
