Onduparaka FC captain Gadafi Wahab has confirmed his exit from the Arua-based club ahead of new switch.
Wahab, together with teammate Faizul Anini were spotted training with Wakiso Giants last week.
The duo have reportedly joined the purple sharks and are expected to be unveiled soon.
“Hello Onduparaka, It has been one of a ride in this beautiful club. We have been together for six(6) and a half seasons and took a little break in between. We had alot of highs and lows together but through it we all remained together knowing that one day we’d have to break up. That time is now,” reads Wahab’s farewell in part.
“I want to say to the fans I LOVE U. You all made me feel welcome and embraced me with open arms. I know i might have left at a time non of you expected me to but all i can say is am SORRY and promise to come back one day and serve the club at any capacity. Thanks to you all for the support you have always given me. I can’t really thank you enough.”

He also saluted his teammates and thanked them for the memories and commended the coaching staff for “everything, pushing me to my limits in every aspect to become a better player i can be, that goes to both old and new.”
The two will reunite with former coach Livingston Mbabazi and player Geriga Atendele who joined Wakiso from Onduparaka before the start of the second round.
Onduparaka have earlier lost Dudu Ramathan and Vitalis Tabu to BUL FC in the second round as stories about financial constraints continue to resurface at the club.
The Caterpillars who lost 1-0 to Wakiso Giants, are sixth on the log with 27 points. The latter occupy eighth position with 23 points.
