Relegation battlers Bright Stars and Maroons face off on match-day 19 Kavumba Recreation centre.

Bright Stars sit third from the bottom with 16 points while Maroons are 10th on the log with 23 points.

The Stars had started second round of the league on a high – Winning two opening games before falling 1-0 to URA which was their last league encounter before Uganda Cup round of 64 where they eliminated Koboko risings Stars.

The six points collected from the three games of second round so far, have seen Bright Stars improve their survival chances and will be hoping to extend their resurgence.

The hosts will also be looking forward to revenging their 3-2 loss to Maroons in the reverse fixture of 3-2 at luzira where Steven Mukwala’s late strike denied them a point after coming from two goals down through Farouk Katongole and Augustine Kacancu to cancel Abraham Tusubira and Richard Agau’s earlier strikes.

Coach Paul Kiwanuka will bank on Joseph Janjali, Angu James and Jamil Kalisa among others for maximum points.

On Maroons side, they have collected four from a possible nine points in the opening three second round games where they picked a 2-0 win against BUL FC in their last league encounter before 4-1 win against Northern regional side Young Elephant in Uganda Cup round of 64 last Thursday.

Maroons will be seeking to complete a double against Bright Stars but they will be without their defenders Olega Ceaser who accumulated three consecutive yellow cards and Sylvester Okello who is nursing an injury but he is expected to be back for their game against Tooro.

However, they will rely on their good attacking force of Mukwala Steven, Bronson Nsubuga and Fred Amaku for goals.
