*URA Vs KCCA – 4PM
*Maroons Vs Tooro United – 4:30PM

Maroons FC hosts Tooro United on UPL match-day 20 at Luzira as both sides seek return to winning ways.

Maroons were frustrated in a manner in which they lost 2-1 against Bright Stars in their last league encounter at Kavumba.

The side conceded a late penalty and had Steven Mukwala’s goal ‘controversially’ ruled out for offside, something which never sat well with coach Douglas Bamweyana.

Maroons have only collected four points in the last four league games in the second round.

The Prison Warders sit 10th with 23 points, just four points above the red zone after 19 games.

Two losses to Proline and Bright Stars, a draw to Onduparaka accompanied by the only win of the second round which they got against BUL FC – Reads Maroons second round report so far.

The side will be targeting to seal a double after winning the reverse fixture
2-0 at Wankulukuku – Solomon Walusimbi and Steven Mukwala were on target for Maroons.

Good news from Maroons camp have it that defenders Ceaser Olega who missed their last encounter after accumulating more yellow cards and Sylvester Okello who recovered from the injury will play a part on Friday.

Visitors Seek To Bury Poor Run

Tooro United are languishing at the rock bottom of the 16-team log – They have collected 15 points from 19 games.

New coach Muhammad Kisekka is still searching for his first win at the club after four games offed from second round so far.

Since the 1-0 win at home to Mbarara on November 3rd, Tooro are winless in the last eight league games!

They lost their three opening second round matches against Onduparaka, Kyetume (by forfeiture over the issue of unlicensed players) and KCCA.

They managed to get a breather in Uganda Cup, squeezing a 3-2 away win against Star Light FC to reach round of 32.

And picked a 1-1 draw with URA on Tuesday in Fort Portal.

Coach Kisekka will be looking forward to avoid a second defeat at Luzira in this season after recording one already in the first round when he was at Bright Stars.

Tooro who finished first round in 13th position on the log, are now top favourites for the drop.
