Versatile player Fred Agandu is set to make his debut as his side SC Villa visit Police FC on Match-day 20 at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.

Agandu joined Villa in the concluded transfer window but misses the recent games due to paper work.

Coach Edward Kaziba has told the-SportsNation that he expects Agandu’s license to be ready ahead of the encounter.

Villa will notably be without Amir Kakomo after the midfielder accumulated three yellow cards.

“He will be a vital player for us,” Kaziba said of Agandu. “He can play both at right back and in the midfield. I plan to employ him in the middle as Kakomo will not be available.”

“It’s always a tough game every time we meet Police and given the fact that they are battling relegation, makes it very difficult for us but we are prepared.”

Agandu has previously represented Onduparaka, BUL FC, KJT and Victoria University but has not been into league action since last season.

The Jogoos, who have won their last three games in all competitions including a 1-0 victory over rivals Express, will bank on Bashir Mutanda, David, Owori, Emmanuel Wasswa among others for goals.

Johnson Odong levelled matters after Emma Kalyowa had given Villa a lead in the first half as both sides shares spoils at Namboole in the first round.

Since then, Police has blown hot and cold – They currently occupy 12th place with 21 points, a point above the red zone.

Despite a strong start in 2020, Police saw their streak broken by Proline when Mustafa Mujuzi scored two penalties while Derrick Kakooza’s strike proved to be a consolation as Abdallah Mubiru’s side lost 2-1.

Denis Rukundo, Arafat Galiwango and Joseph Ssentume are expected to man the defence while Samson Kigozi, Kakooza, Johnson Odong, Herman Wasswa look for goals.
