Coach Mohammed Kisekka will be seeking for his first league win as Tooro United coach when they take on Wakiso Giants in Fort Portal.

Tooro’s last win in the league was against Mbarara City FC in November last year thanks to Godfrey Lwesibawa’s strike. Then, the team was under Interim Coach Eric Ndifuna after Wasswa Bbosa had left.

The club has gone nine games without a league win and will hope for better fortunes against the Purple Sharks who are yet to score more than two goals since coach Livingston Mbabazi arrived.

Tooro played a 1-1 draw with Maroons in their last league game, and the side sit a place above the bottom.

Coach Kisekka is Convinced that his side will survive relegation.

“Leave alone the points we lost in the boardroom, but you have seen ever since the second round started,we have lost only one game which was an away game against KCCA where we also had a good performance, so we hope to win games because we have a fighting spirit and i know we are going to survive,” said Kisekka.

It should be remembered that Tooro lost to Onduparaka by forfeiture after the club failed to assemble at least seven players for the game.

“Our team has been struggling due to players unavailability especially with licenses but we are slowly solving issues and I think we will be good to go soon.”

On Maroons draw, he added:

“It was a fair game though disappointed that we didn’t get three points we came for but the boys tried to play according to the tactics.”

Wakiso occupy ninth with 25 points and will be targeting to avoid a 10th loss in the season.

Vianney Ssekajugo scored the lone goal as Wakiso edged Bright Stars in September last year in the first round.
