*Tooro United 2-1 Wakiso Giants
*Bright Stars 3-0 Busoga United
Bright Stars beat Busoga United 3-0 in a league game at Kavumba Recreation centre.
The victory, where the opening minutes were played in heavy down pour, leaves Bright Stars out the drop zone.
Ronald Ssempala, Jamil Kaliisa and Joseph Janjali appeared on the scoresheet as Bright Stars demolished Busoga United.
In the 25th minute, Ssempala tapped home from new signing Muwadda Mawejje’s fine left wing cross to hand lead to the hosts.
Earlier on, the hosts would have got the lead but Busoga’s Roger Omedwa was equal to the challenge when he double saved Juma Seebaduka.
Omedwa was again called into action to deny Joseph Janjali and Samuel Ssekitto.
Busoga’s only clear chance was presented to Lawrence Tezikya in the middle of the second stanza but his close range effort was equally saved by Godwin Buule Kiwanuka.
In 73rd minutes, Kaliisa doubled the lead when he scored into an empty net after dribbling past goal keeper Omedwa from Muwadda’s cross which had beaten the entire Busoga back line.
Four minutes after, Janjali made it three, an icing on the cake as Busoga suffered their heaviest defeat of second round.
A win has seen Bright Stars jump from relegation zone in 14th place to 11th place on 23 points from 21 games and they make a trip to Lugogo to play Police FC in their next encounter.
For Busoga, they remain 6th with 30 points from 21 games and they will host URA FC in their match-day 22.
