 Tooro Beat Wakiso To Return To Winning Ways

Tooro United beat Wakiso Giants in a league game played in Fort Portal to return to winning ways.

Yafeesi Mubiru scored a second half brace for the Hosts while Amos Muwonge’s goal in the added minutes proved to be a consolation.

This is the first league win under coach Mohammed Kisekka and first in the second round.

Tooro’s last win in the league was against Mbarara City FC in November last year – The club had gone nine games without tasting victory.

The win, fifth overall after 21 games, sends Tooro to 19 points but remain second from the bottom.

The loss is the 10th for the Purple Sharks who are yet to score more than two goals in a match under new coach Livingston Mbabazi.

Wakiso remain ninth with 25 points.

Tooro United visit Big league side Kansai Plascon in Uganda Cup before visiting Express FC.

Wakiso Giants’ next home game is against Maroons FC on February 18.
