Mbarara City FC will host Police FC on match-day 21 of Startimes Uganda premier league at Kakyeka Stadium, Mbarara.

This will be Mbarara’s first game at Kakyeka in the second round since it was cleared by FUFA licensing committe after meeting minimum requirements.

The Ankole Lions had hosted their second round two opening home games at Bombo Barrack grounds but a return at their original home will be a major boost.

It should be remembered that Mbarara also had to host the first four home matches of first round at Luzira prison before permitted back to Kakyeka on October 11th last year.

There have been plenty of positives for the club in the second round, including picking their first away win of under coach Brian Ssenyondo when they beat Express 1-0 in Kavumba courtesy of Makueth Wol’s goal.

Mbarara have won two and lost as many in their five games in the second round and occupy eighth on the log with 26 points from 20 games.

After playing a goalless draw at Namboole in the reverse fixture last September, The Ankole Lions will need the best of from forwards like Makueth, Ivan Eyam, Aheebwa Brian and Ibrahim Orit among others.

It remains to be seen whether Jasper Aheebwa who lost Dad and daughter few days back but full back Stephen Otieno is expected to start after being unavailable against Express.

For the Cops, they will be looking forward to bounce back to winning ways following a two all draw against SC Villa in their last league encounter at Lugogo last Monday and a 2-1 loss at Proline FC.

Police had started the second round on a high note by winning three opening games in a row to jump out of Red zone where they had been in the entire first round.

They are now 12th on the log with 22 points from 20 games, and in their quest to avoid droping back where they are only one point above, they will demand more from Pius Kaggwa, Derrick Kakooza, Fahad Kizito and Samsom Kigoza among others.
