Anita Nabirye: Ugandan Joins Vihiga Queens In Kenya

Former Asubo Gafford Ladies attacking midfilder Nabirye Anita has joined Vihiga Queens in Kenya for deal of four years on undisclosed fee.

The 18-year old midfielder joined Asubo Gafford Ladies from Mutesa 1 royal ladies FC in 2017 second round of the league. She played 28 games, scoring eight goals.

According to the Kenya local website, women football 365, Vihiga Queens have acquired the player’s signature.

“Nabirye Anita was brought in at the recommendation of the technical bench,” Vihiga coach told Women Football 356.

“Head coach Alex Alumiran seconded this as he opined that quality midfielder impressed the bench thus couldn’t pass to ink the deal.”

Vihiga have won three straight league championships in the Kenyan Women Football league and are in quest to exert their dominance in the region.
