FUFA Disciplinary Panel: Villa Fan Banned For Remainder Of Season

FUFA Competition Disciplinary Panel (CDP) has banned SC Villa fan James Lutaaya due to hooliganism.

The panel has found Villa fan Lutaaya guilty of leading a group of Villa fans who went ahead and beat URA FC player Michael Birungi Komunda and others.

The ugly incidents happened at January 7 at the Arena of Visions in Bombo.

“The CDP in considering the case took into account the steps and actions that have been implemented by SC Villa,” reads the ruling in part.

“Accordingly, the Competitions Disciplinary Panel hereby; CONFIRMS the ban issued on Lutaaya James by SC Villa – Lutaaya James is banned from attending all SC Villa (home and away) matches for the remainder of the season.”

The letter seen by this website from UPL has it that SC Villa has since taken action against Lutaaya James by banning him from all its home and away matches for the remainder of the season.

In the said game, URA FC beat SC Villa 2-0 courtesy of goals from Birungi and Daniel Isiagi.

Birungi, who had scored the second, celebrated while pointing fingers on his mouth in direction to the Villa fans, which did not sit well with the travelling fans.

However, Birungi who made an intimidating finger-to-mouth celebration has managed to escape any punishment.
