Police FC will be seeking to bounce back to winning ways when they face Bright Stars FC on match-day 22 at Lugogo.

Police are winless in their last three league games since their first three back to back wins in their opening games in January.

However, the cops will look to benefit from a 10-day league break over the Uganda Cup round of 32 which they missed following their early elimination on round of 64.

Police FC training ahead of Bright Stars game on Monday at Lugogo.

Coach Abdallah Mubiru believes this break has given his side enough time to prepare for a different game approach.

“We had enough time to prepare for this game and God willing we Shall have a different approach in our tactics and we are looking forward for positive results,” Mubiru said after his team’s last training.

Police won 1-0 in the reverse fixture, and will need to demand extra ordinary performances from Pius Kaggwa, Samson Kigozi, Fahad Kizito and their main target man Ben Ocen among others.

Police currently sit 14th on the log with 22 points from 21 games, just a point below Bright Stars in 12th.

For the visitors, despite their shocking exit from Uganda Cup after losing against regional side Free Stars in round of 32 last Friday, they had a very good form in the league since second round started.

Bright Stars have only lost one out of the six matches to jump out of the drop where they ended first round.

They are coming into this at the back of a 3-0 convincing win in their last league encounter against tricky Busoga.

They occupy 12th place on the log with 23 points from 21 games.
