Tuesday, February 18
*Vipers Vs KCCA
*Busoga United Vs URA
*Wakiso Giants Vs Maroons
*Police Vs Bright Stars

The title is on the line when two Ugandan giants face off at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

We don’t want to dwell a lot, let’s go direct to the point.

Here is a combined XI for Vipers and KCCA FC. Feel free to give us your feedback in the comments section, and in our social media platforms.

Note – We are employing a 4-3-3.

Fabien Mutombora – One of the tightest spots that could have gone either way. Fabien beats KCCA FC custodian Charles Lukwago by a whisker. He has commanded his back-line very well, a good talker which has been one of his top qualities this season. Lukwago has also been outstanding as well but he has conceded goals that could have been avoidable. He has struggled to keep a clean-sheet this season.

Paul Willa – A reliable figure at the right side of defence. One of the club’s best signing before the season started. He joined from Police with the Venoms snatching him from jaws of KCCA. He has played almost every game for Vipers and has left everything on the pitch. He has struggled to balance both defence and attack though as his final delivery in the other half is still wanting.

Mustafa Kizza – Very explosive, experienced and an assist king. His swinging crosses have been very difficult to handle for the defences. Aziz Kayondo has been outstanding as well and can give Mustafa a huge run for his money.

John Revita – As cool as ice. A good passer of the ball and he always start KCCA attacks. He is a good game reader and has been very pivotal for KCCA who many thought that they will struggle at the back after the departure of Timothy Denis Awany.

Halid Lwaliwa – Good both on land and in the air. He has managed to pocket most of the best forwards in the league. Another good game reader and clean tackler as well. A role model for most Vipers youngsters.

Gift Ali – Anyone doubting?
He has been everywhere. Covered all the spaces and provided the necessary block at the back for KCCA. Siraje Ssentamu has been good for Vipers as well but Gift has been a water carrier throughout. It will be the biggest shock of he doesn’t make the CHAN squad!

Karim Watambala – The youngster has commanded the midfield. Linked the defence with the forward line and has been consistent throughout. He keeps on improving each day. Edges Nicholas Kasozi who has been in and out.

Muzamir Mutyaba – Hard choice to take given how important Bobosi Byaruhanga has been for the Venoms. However, is an old broom and has kept improving his game each passing day. Trust him for that defence-split-pass.

The Forwards

Erisa Ssekisambu – He takes the nod as the Venoms have failed to field consistent forwards. Wide men like Allan Okello, Innocent Wafula would have had a good claim for this.

Fahad Bayo – Club top-scorer. Good header of the ball, a menace to the defenders. High work rate. He is yet to find his scoring boots in the second round but his first round speaks volumes.

Mike Mutyaba – Old is gold. Show me the most gifted player in the league and I will show you Mike. His good touch, ability to remove defenders with no effort. Very capable of scoring a goal from any angle. Press men have run out of superlatives for this down-to-earth player.
