Namuwongo Blazers have confirmed the signing of Derrick Katumba, the club has posted on their official pages.
Details of his contract remain unknown.
The big man joins after ending his tenure with Ndejje University Angles where he had joined in 2014.
Nam Blazers and UPDF Tomahawks are the newly promoted teams in NBL.

Katumba, who studied at Cranes High, also had stints with Heaters, Betway Power (D-Mark then) and Charging Rhino.
He had a career threatening injury back in 2012 on his spinal cord when he got an accident on a Boda boda.
The big man is a brother to basketball player Brian Ssentongo, and is a cousin to Francis Kasekende.
He was part of Power’s team that finished third in 2012 Zone Five club championship.
He represented Uganda in the Basketball without borders in 2011 which was held in South Africa.
He also represented Uganda at the African Sprite All Stars U19 in Washington DC and Memphis Tennessee in 2010.
He won the Zuku University Championship with Ndejje in 2014 and 2015.
