Wakiso Giants will be targeting maximum points when they visit Busoga United on match-day 24 at the Mighty Arena in Jinja.

Wakiso Giants beat Busoga United 2-1 in a reverse fixture played at the Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium.

The purple Sharks played out a one all draw in their previous league game at home against Kyetume FC and will hope for better fortunes after conceding very early in the game.

“We are aware of their current good form but we are determined to fight for the points away from home,” defender Hassan Wasswa speaking to the Club’s official website said.

Busoga United who are unbeaten at home in the second round will be eager to continue with their current form having won three out of the previous four games in the league – only losing away to Onduparaka.

The Abbey Bogere Kikomeko coached team will bank more on David Bagoole’s current form.

Wakiso Giants will be without the services of midfielder Lawerence Bukenya and goalkeeper George William Katende due to injuries while Club’s topscorer Viane Ssekajugo will need a late fitness test.

Busoga United beat Maroons FC 1-0 away from home thanks to a Paul Ssekulima lone strike in their last league engagement.

After Match-day 23, Busoga United occupy the 5th position on the StarTimesUPL table with 36 points winning 11 games, losing nine and three draws.

Visitors Wakiso Giants occupy the 10th position on the log of sixteen teams with 29 points out of the 23 games played winning eight games, five draws and losing 10 times.

This will be the second meeting between both teams in top flight.
