*Vipers Vs Maroons – 4pm
*Mbarara Vs BUL – 4:30pm

Police FC will be targeting their first win against KCCA FC in the league since 2007 when the sides meet at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.

Police has not beaten KCCA in the last 13 seasons of the Uganda top flight league.

They recorded their last win on July 11 2007 when visiting Police won 5-2 against KCC. Then, URA FC were crowned league champions while Police finished third above KCC who came fourth.

That season, Kanoni (Mukono United), Mbale Heroes, City Lads and Masindi Town Council were relegated.

Abdallah Mubiru, who was a New Vision journalist in 2007, will hope for a better performance after Police squandered a 2-1 lead to lose 3-2 in the first round.

Jackson Nunda (2) and Erisa Ssekisambu were on target as KCCA battled back to make Ben Ocen and Pius Kaggwa’s efforts fruitless.

Since beating Kyetume 1-0 last month, Police have gone five games without a league win. They drew Villa 2-2 and four losses against Proline, Mbarara, Bright Stars and Tooro.

Davis Mutebi is expected to start in goal for the hosts at Lugogo while Kaggwa, Hood Kaweesa, Ben Ocen among other attackers will carry the scoring burden.

Mike Mutebi will be without injured goalkeeper Charles Lukwago who he blamed after the draw with Express, Musa Ramathan who was sent off while John Revita is still sidelined.

Nunda, Hassan Jurua, Joseph Kafumbe, Sam Ssenyonjo and Bukenya Kizza are out.

KCCA FC occupy second place with 46 points, four behind leaders Vipers while Police FC are third from the bottom with 22 points, just two points adrift of safety.
