Herbert Achai scored the only goal to lift visiting KCCA FC over Police FC in a league game at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.
Achai sent in a rocket into the top corner from outside the box to hand KCCA a lead in the 20th minute.
Police FC remain winless in six league games leaving the side in suspense of survival.
KCCA FC had goalkeeper Ali Mwirusi for his full debut after he had featured earlier on in the previous game against Express FC when he came on for injured Charles Lukwago.
The hosts came rejuvanted to register a win at home but goalkeeper Mwirusi kept out many saved to deny Abdallah Mubiru’s side including a Dennis Rukundo’s header.
Mubiru made an early substitution when he brought on Basan Safi for Samson Kigozi.
Fahad kizito had his strike blocked by Peter Magambo after he had received a low pass from Pius Kaggwa who also hit the side net.
Derrick Kakooza had his header kept out by Mwirusi off a well delivered Dennis Rukundo.

Visitors KCCA FC had no room for mistakes as they were eager for a win to keep gap atop close.
Achai had a sole run but his effort went over the bar.
Muzamiru Mutyaba had his free kick hit the woodwork after Dennis Rukundo had handled the ball.
Gift Ali had his strike go over the bar before Sadat Anaku shot was kept out by Davis Mutebi.
In the 56th minute, Sadat Anaku had his goal canceled after he was flagged offside.
KCCA FC remain second on the table with 49 points, four adrift of Vipers.
Defending champions KCCA FC will be playing host to Proline FC in their next league fixture.
Police FC remains in the relegation zone with 22 points and will be tasked for a win when they take a visit to high flying URA FC
