Brian Odongo made his long awaited return as Betway Kobs eased past Makerere Impis in the Rugby Premiership game at Legends grounds.
He had last played for the side way back in February 2018.
The prop, seemingly in perfect shape after reducing weight, crossed the line to help Kobs earn a bonus point win before he was taken off amidst loud cheers from the Kobs faithfuls.
His return is a major boost for the side that is targeting to dethrone unstoppable Hima Cement Heathens.
Kobs, coming into the game at the back of a 25-08 win against Rhinos, needing a sounding victory.
The side earned an early penalty try which set the tone in sweltering conditions, with Al Hajji Manano producing a man of the match performance.
Daudi Ssemwami (2), Conrad Mukwaya (2), Faraj Odugo, Keith Sseruyange, Joseph Oloya and Wilobo Mukili were the other try scorers while Joseph Aredo added the other extras in a one sided affair.
Emmanuel Sendyabane grounded for the visitors before Emma Katuntu made the conversion, but the efforts were not enough to hand the side a losing bonus point.
Kobs move to 48 points but remain five points adrift of Heathens.
