University League: Kyambogo Beat Mbarara To Earn First Win

A member of 2018 historical Kyamboga winning team of the University football league, Ssekidde Robert score a brace inside three minutes to lift Kyambogo past Mbarara University of science and technology.

Kyambogo won 4-1 at Kyambogo grounds on 29th February 2020.

Ssekidde, scoring in 32 and 35th minute, added on Mukwata Peter’s to lead at halftime.

In the 57th minute of the game, Tom Adeele extended Kyambogo’s lead to 4-0 with a stunning half volley.

The 2018 Pepsi University football league champions couldn’t manage to keep a clean sheet as Mbarara’s Agaba Lino put his name on score-sheet in the 90th minute.

This is the first win for Kyambogo this season after losing their opener to debutant Kabale University 1-0.

Deo Sserwada coached side has over taken Mbarara to top of group A on three points and 2 goals difference but they will have to wait until Sunday when University of Kisubi host second placed Kabale university.

Mbarara won their opening fixture when they beat Kisubi 2-1.
