Uganda U17 Girls National team coach Ayub Khalifa says that his team is ready and in good shape to face Tanzania for the first leg of the second round of the 2020 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

Uganda eliminated Ethiopia in the first round after a 5-1 aggregate win and will be targeting a positive result before the return leg in Kampala.

“We have had our last preparations, the team is ready for the game. Its going to be hot after the game was shifted to 3pm,” coach Ayub said on Saturday.

“We have advised the girls to take a lot of water to manage the sweltering conditions.

“We are in good shape and we expect a victory tomorrow.”

If Uganda negotiate past this tie after two legs, they will face the winner between Cameroon and Sao Tome and Principe for a slot at the World Cup finals in India later this year.
