CHAN: Ndahiro Attributes Uganda Cranes Call-up To Hard Work

SC Villa’s Derrick Ndahiro has said that it’s hard work that has led to his call up on the Uganda Cranes.

The left back, cum winger, is among the young talented players, and he his first call at national team ahead of CHAN that will kickoff in Cameroon.

While talking to the media after the team’s first training session at Cambridge International School, Ndahiro also revealed that it was always his dream.

“I had long waited for this moment,” started Ndahiro. “I had never ceased working hard, and this chance has come because have been training well and hard. I thank my coaches for giving me an opportunity to be on the pitch together with my teammates who have been there for me.”

“I also thank Uganda Cranes coach to give me a chance to serve my country and I am expecting to learn more and look forward to make a cut out to the final squad.”

Ndahiro plays for SC Villa, a club he joined in 2018 from Kasowo SSS.

He faces stiff competition from Mustafa Kizza and URA FC’s Ashraf Mandela at the left back position.
