Katwe United coach Allan Kabonge has thrown in a towel.
The ‘Messiah’ as he prefers to call himself, confirmed the resignation after Katwe United’s goalless draw with MYDA FC in a big league game at Lugogo on Thursday.
“I am done with Katwe United,” Kabonge said. “This the end of my journey in Big league.”
“There is a lot of drama here, Politics is too much yet I came to coach football. The referees have been biased. We had a clear penalty that was waved.
“Let me leave and give someone else a chance to coach. I cannot continue in such drama. I have a CV to protect. Let me try to pursue my other assignments.”
Kabonge who also doubles as the University of Kisubi coach, leaves Katwe rock bottom of Elgon group with eight points after 11 games.
