Copa Coca-cola: School In Rukungiri Given Three-Year Ban

Renown school in Rukungiri district, Makobore High, will not play in this year’s Copa coca-cola post primary competition over indiscipline.

The school has been banned for three years.

The decision to ban the single boys school was agreed upon in the stakeholders meeting.

Makobore high school is accused of Involving in acts of indiscipline and destabilising the tournaments every time they are eliminated.

The competition slated to commence on 6 to 21 march for both Girls and boys football.

Daniel Ahimbisibwe Bahamire, the acting Rukungiri district Secondary school sports committee chairperson noted that Makobore will serve a ban for three consecutive years.

Makobore, according to Ahimbisibwe, was banned after students turned chaotic when Kashenyi Secondary School eliminated them on semifinals.

This year’s tournament, teams to watch include Kashenyi and Kyamakanda secondary schools who are the defending champions and runners up respectively. St Gerard’s secondary school Nyakibale will also offer big resistance.

The defending champions Kashenyi secondary school were drawn against St. Francis Buhunga High school, Rubirizi ss, St. Mathias Nyakishenyi SS and St. John baptist Kahoko ss.

At national level, St Mary’s Kitende are the defending champions after beating Jinja SS 3-1 last year.
